Ten Bucs Worth

Ten Bucs Worth is an auditioned group of 10, musically accomplished and highly motivated boys who rehearse 1-2 times a week outside of the school day.  This group performs a wide range of music, primarily a cappella, at events throughout the city.   

Admission to Ten Bucs Worth is highly competitive and restricted to 10th-12th grader boys who are currently enrolled in choir.

* Ten Bucs Worth is auditioned and selected in May of the previous school year

Grace Note

Grace Note is an auditioned group of 12 ladies who rehearse 1-2 times a week outside of the school day.  This is a highly motivated group of advanced musicians who learn a wide range of repertoire throughout the year. Grace Note performs primarily a cappella music and represents the Hoover High School Choral Program in the school and community throughout the school year.

Grace Note is open to all 10th-12th grade women who are currently enrolled in choir.

Winter Concert 2022

Chamber Choir
The Hoover Chamber Choir is an auditioned group of 10th – 12th grade choral students who want to sing more than is offered in the choirs that meet during the school day. All interested students must be enrolled in a choral class during the school day and are required to audition. This choir performs a variety of concert literature.

The Chamber Choir meets outside the school day once a week in the evening.  This is an advances group of motivated choral singers.  Members of this choir are expected to perform at the Winter and Spring choir concerts and State Performance Assessment.  In addition, this choir will perform at a variety of events throughout the year as they arise.
